So what’s going on the with the building remodel project? You’ve probably thought this question to yourself or heard someone else ask it out loud.
Things are progressing. Architect plans have been signed. We’re applying for permits and all the plan reviews that are required (ADA, demolition surveys, etc.). The building committee is diligently working with me on making sure things are done right. We take being good stewards of your financial gifts very seriously.
If you haven’t wandered to the back of the building, you may not be aware that work is being done. The nursery has been moved to it’s temporary location in room 121 in preparation of the construction. Several classrooms have been painted and new carpet installed, including in room 119. We are also in the process of working with contractors to install a fabric building in the rear of the building for storage purposes. There are many fabric building uses which will compliment the building – albeit it will be mostly used for storage of equipment and furniture.
Our preschoolers will be enjoying the updated rooms this weekend for Sunday School. And the adults will be enjoying room 119.
Thank you for your faithful and generous gifts to help Lighthouse care for kids.
