Lighthouse Fellowship exists to make disciples who make disciples!
To expand and equip Christ-followers to live a life committed to the pursuit of Jesus.
We live in a world full of sin and imperfection, which keeps us separated from God. The Bible describes this as being “lost,” in need of rescue and saving. The penalty for sin is death; the shedding of blood, which Jesus Christ provides to everyone freely by bearing the cross. Salvation comes in three simple steps:
Admittance
In order to receive salvation, we must first admit that we are IN NEED of salvation. As part of God’s creation, He gives us the free will to do as we wish, so we must admit we are lost and choose to pursue God. We cannot fix, heal, or transform ourselves, and this is where Jesus steps in.
Belief
Now that we have admitted we are sinners, scripture makes it clear that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus bore the cross and shed his blood as payment for our sin, and by simply accepting this gift we can have salvation! Jesus intercedes for us and bridges the gap created by sin, defeating our sin on the cross and defeating death by rising from the dead.
Commitment
Having confessed our sin and believed that Christ has covered us in forgiveness and rose from the dead, our final step is to commit our life to Christ! Choosing to pursue discipleship under Christ, and living each day in honor of the love and sacrifice he poured out for us by studying, following, and applying the Bible to our life. Understand, you cannot earn salvation through works, but only as a gift through God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). This begins a new lifelong journey that we would be excited to help guide and walk through with you as you take your next steps in faith!
