Called by Name, Not by Shame
Feb 1, 2026 • Dan Morris
Shame has followed humanity since the garden—not just feeling bad about what we’ve done, but believing something is wrong with who we are. In Genesis 3, God’s question “Where are you?” isn’t accusation but invitation, a loving Father searching for His children. Sin doesn’t change how God sees us; it distorts how we think He sees us, pushing us into hiding. But Romans 8:1 reminds us there is no condemnation in Christ—Jesus took our shame on the cross so we could live fully known, fully loved, and free. The invitation is simple: stop hiding and step into the light where healing begins.
