The King Who Bows

Nov 30, 2025    Dan Morris

Nebuchadnezzar’s story reminds us just how patient God is with prideful hearts like ours. The powerful king who once thought he built everything by his own hand was humbled—literally brought to his knees—so he could see that all authority belongs to God. Pride may show up subtly in our lives, but God’s purpose in confronting it is always restoration, not humiliation. When we humble ourselves before Him, He lifts us higher than we could ever climb alone. Jesus, our servant King, modeled this perfectly—choosing the cross over a crown so that we could be restored. The question for us is simple: will we bow now, willingly, before the King who bowed first for us?
