Jonah 4 ends with a question, not a resolution—and that’s the point. Jonah is angry because God shows mercy to people Jonah believes deserve judgment. Through the vine, the worm, and the scorching wind, God exposes Jonah’s heart and asks whether he cares more about his own comfort than lost people. The challenge is personal: will our lives be about finding shade, or helping people find God?
